by Paul Ridden

The Roll LAPTOP is the future amazing design and innovation work. The world should thanks to the designer, Hao Hua, who put in a phenomenal amount of hard work to come up with this beauty device. This is really cool design, it would be great to have a laptop and looked like this. Nowadays, it is a trend in all the next generation gadgets/devices is that they are getting smaller in size by the day.

Over Charges of iPad 3 4G..Why?

Sources : AnsonAlex.com

Without a doubt the new iPad 4G is packed with an endless array of interested features without realizing that this gadget also have drawbacks which are the battery life and overcharges fees for using the 4G network. How this problem can happen??

iPad 4G have some of the features with higher technology that required cost, such as
Features  Description
Retina Display  Although the screen size is the same as its predecessor the new Retina display offers an impressive high definition resolution of 2048x1536. this is more than the viewing quality if high end flat screen televisions.
iSight Camera The iSight camera which is located on the back of the unit has been upgraded tp capture sharper images in 1080p which is resolution used in high definition flat screen TV.
iOS 5.1 The new iPad 4G is equipped with an upgraded operating system which supports a system that offers speech to text in four different languages. The system is slightly different than the popular Siri search but nevertheless delivers a competent technology for converting speech to text.

TiPs to Avoid Overage Charges
It is important to understand how data transfer works when you’re using the internet. Whenever you do anything on the internet, regardless of the type of network you’re using (wireless, 3G, 4G or wired), you are accessing a server located in another part of the world. In order to a page to be displayed or a movie to be streamed, that remote computer needs to send information in the form of data, to your personal device.

When that data is transferred, you’re using bandwidth. It is important to understand that not all actions on the internet use the same amount of bandwidth. Streaming an HD movie from Netflix requires significantly more bandwidth than reading a text based article.
That being said, here are some tips to help you avoid incurring overage charges using the New iPad 3 over a 4G LTE network:
  1. When ever a wireless network is available, usewireless on your iPad instead of 4G.
  2. Do your bandwidth intensive tasks at home when you’re connected to wireless. Bandwidth intensive tasks include:
    • Streaming video – especially HD video.
    • Streaming music.
    • Playing online games.
    • Downloading iPad apps.
  3. Plan your online tasks ahead of time so you can anticipate which tasks you will doing over a 4G network.
  4. Monitor your bandwidth usage closely so you know when your limit is almost up.

How to Decide if a Factory Navigation System Is Right for You

Source : http://www.edmunds.com

2009 Infiniti EX35

by Doug Newcomb for Edmunds

Nowadays, navigation systems are everywhere. Not only can you get one on an economy car, but also there are alternatives ranging from portable navigation system to application for your smartphone. When you are looking to get a GPS navigation system, you are going to want to know where to get the best deals. Now sometimes your local stores will have a good deal on portable GPS system. Local stores seem to overcharge on a lot of things, and users are advisable to purchase through online. When you are shopping for these product online you can search a lot of different stores all at the same time.

Which one should you buy? What are the advantages of each set up? Which is less expensive? Here are a few things to consider so you can choose the system that's right for you.

Screen and Interface
One of the most important aspects of choosing an in-dash navigation system is screen size. That's the feature that separates an in-dash system from most portables and smartphone nav apps. Regardless of size, make sure that the screen is easy to see, even in bright sunlight. If the display is a touch screen, ensure that it's simple to use and within your reach. Also keep in mind that touch screens smudge easily and need frequent cleaning.

Many navigation systems allow you to input destinations using voice activation. But voice input doesn't usually work well for entering long, complex addresses. So voice activation is definitely a feature you need to try before you buy if you intend to use it extensively.

Mapping Software and Graphics
A navigation system is usually only as good as its mapping software. So one of the most important aspects to consider is where the map data resides. More modern systems store mapping software on a hard-disk drive (HDD). The advantage of this system is that it usually has a faster response time. But the information on a hard-disk drive also becomes outdated. This approach allows you to add navigation after purchasing the vehicle simply by inserting an SD card into a slot in the center console. Another advantage for close-to-home drivers is that you can choose to only buy mapping software for your area of the country.

Map graphics are another key feature to take into consideration. Some systems provide a more realistic map view than others. More advanced navigation systems have enhanced graphics, including a 3-D mode that provides details to help you get your bearings. In a big city, that might be key buildings in the area. Several systems include an aerial perspective, and allow you to adjust the angle of the view.

Destination Input and POI Info
Most nav systems provide various ways to route to a destination: by an address, an intersection, a POI, a point on the map or even a phone number. Most systems include an address book and allow users to set a "home" destination for quick routing. Some will locate and route you to emergency services such as police and hospitals in the area.

Routing Quality
You can get the locations of emergency services, restaurants or other information from a static map. But the quality of the nav system's turn-by-turn directions, and the ability to reroute you if you miss a turn, is the make-or-break feature. A system should give you plenty of warning and clear instructions on where and when to turn, using graphics on the screen and voice guidance that's delivered through the audio system. It shows the route map on one side and the next maneuver on the other. Some also provide "lane guidance" to show you the precise lane in which you need to be.

Other Features
Beyond these basics, navigation systems provide various convenience features. A common one in most systems is "geo-fencing" that allows you to set up areas to avoid. For example, if you know construction is occurring along a certain roadway, you can set the nav system so it doesn't route you there. Many systems also now include some form of traffic information, although many such services are subscription based. Maps usually use color-coding and symbols to indicate traffic flow on the map. Some systems will actively warn you of traffic along a chosen route. You can also usually view and get information on all traffic incidents in your area.

Some of the latest systems also provide weather reports, forecasts and warnings, but this too can be subscription-based. Ford's Sirius Travel Link system requires a subscription, for example. It includes a fuel-finder feature with the latest gas prices, movie listings, sports scores and even ski-area information. And while all systems let you search for restaurants in an area, those in cars from Honda, Acura and Mercedes-Benz also provide Zagat restaurant ratings.

Certain systems have a "send-to" feature that lets you transmit destinations found online to the navigation system, and some even let you do this from a smartphone app. Several systems let you send multiple destinations at once so that you don't have to input them one at a time while in the car. Systems from BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and GM (via OnStar) also allow you to contact an operator in a call-center to not only find POI info, but also send it to your car's navigation system.

Nav systems in some SUVs or trucks have off-road routing capability that lets you set GPS waypoints so that you can find your way even where there are no roads and signs. Nav systems from Land Rover also include topographic maps showing elevations and physical features of the landscape. Many systems include a "breadcrumbing" feature that graphically marks where you've been on the map screen in case you want to retrace your steps.

My Suggestion

I did read many articles of people died because of ambulance couldn't reach at the pinpoint on the right time. The most reason we figure out was paramedics couldn't find the accident place and lost several vital minutes. Paramedics team also find service difficulty due to computer system crash, poor designation of system, frontline problem and others. Thus, in order to resolve this problem and to save many life at a emergency moments, the respective body must take initiative to ensure that all the ambulance a fully occupied with the GPS System that providing emergency-services information. In implementing this system, all the places in Malaysia must be updated in the GPS System so that the system can pinpoint the place on their satellite nav system.

EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY...

A STUDY ON EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY IN TAJ INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE

Become a lecturer was my big dream since
i was young. however, at last..2012..my dream come true..i never imagined i would someday working as lecturer at TAJ International College (www.taj.edu.my). As a new lecturer in TIC, i always spend my countless hours to surveillance the TIC compound with the intent to familiar with my new working environment. From my observation, i found out that TIC has a potential to be a highest education learning center in Perak as well as in world. However, the mission can be achieve only after TIC can grab the opportunities in rapid development of technologies changes as to upgrade their facilities and education system.

For the past 4 months, i started interested to figure out vital things that can improve the efficiency in lecturing by using the latest technology. Even today, a person can get their degree by taking online classes and newspapers now have the ability to share stories with the world within minutes after a events occurs. However, can technology teach though? As  computer continue to get not only smarter but also cheaper, it seems entirely possible that they could eventually replace teacher/ lecturer. Actually, computers and technology already serve as teaching aides. Over the next decade, it seem likely that computer will advance to the point of being able to have natural conversation Saeed Mubarak (2011).

I believe that if TIC could implement and maintaining these technologies advancement, definitely student will enjoys the learning process :

First, use the latest technologies as an instructional tool within current classroom setting. Instead of current practice using direct instruction as primary teaching method, lecturer will learn to implement technology into lesson plans moving forward by providing a greater range of educational resources. the students in classroom learning through online medium or learning through the use of a variety of educational software products. Lecturer will also learn to instruct using Smart Board technology as well as LCD projector systems. Myself personally quite surprise with the new system introduced on May 2012, called Learning Management System (LMS) which help the lecturer to deliver the lecture to student effectively.

With LMS, lecturer and student will learn how to use the Internet more effectively as both an additional resource and teaching tool in classroom. Lecturer will be able to lead students through research based projects or find educational games in which students can participate to review key material that they need to know. Lecturer also can create a class website for students to access from home or away from college. on a class website, lecturer can post such items as homework assignments, links to resources which students can use for class work, and upcoming test and quiz dates. This is also one way that lecturer can keep lines of communication open with the parents and guardians of the students. Lecturer cal also expect to take multiple courses about the field of online learning itself. If lecturer wanted to be able to instruct, assess and evaluate students in an online learning format, the Master's in Education Technology will show lecturer exactly how to do just that.

Second, technology is already on the brink of being able to communicate intelligently, such as in the case of Apple's Siri and IBM's watson. Apple has describe Siri as an "intelligent assistant" but developers should have added another feature to Sire: budding comedian. Apple iPhone 4s come with new upgrade to the iPhone line has one major draw Siri. the virtual assistance is practically an artificial intelligence. it can listen to our "natural language" question and respond like our own personal secretary. the software is capable you ask it, which is really nothing but amazing.Ask it to schedule an appointment an it will ask us what time and it will help us arrange it so that we don't have any conflicting meetings at that time.

Finally, lecturer can expert to take classes that cover current trends in educational technologies, so that lecturer can stay up to date with the latest developments in the field. Since technology is an ever-expanding field, lecturer may not even be aware of how technology can help make their job easier while keeping students engaged in the learning process.

Testimonial : I much appreciate to someone that present me with iPhone..After 2 months  being trained by devices on how to interact with screen, personally i felt really excited and impressed about the technology advancement. if before, i can be considered as someone which "IT blind", dont know how to interact with technology, and now i can communicate with anyone and gather any latest information only with one click..wow!!..Thanks to technology...

Enterprise App Store Adoption
Marketplaces and app stores were originally created for end-users to download applications to their mobile devices or as add-ons to cloud based products. As the app store business model as proven to be a successful one, application developers and marketers will focus more heavily on developing apps and marketplaces for businesses instead of just consumers.

Testimonial : If one find day,i am doing business i will using this application because the installation is very simple, minimize the time consuming which indirectly can reduce the cost transaction. By removing the middleman, the famous bottleneck between the business and IT demand can reduced in many cases as what's happening to the non-enterprise software market today.

    Mobile Application Development
As the use of mobile devices increases, the need for user friendly mobile apps also continues to rise. 2012 will bring more fluid mobile applications that make use of video, gesture and touch technologies.

Testimonial : From my view, i can say that most of generation X & generation Z tend to have their own smartphone as mobile application development . The rising demand for enhanced practicality in mobile devices have given birth to excessive expanding range of advanced technology. The mobile application development services that available including smartphone,iPhone/iPad, Blackberry, Android and Windows.

    Iphone/iPad Application Development
Apple iPhone has been crowd-pleasing with its excellent graphical user interface and its appropriateness beyond comparison. It also supports astonishing applications which are accessible in the App Store. IPhone application development and now iPad application development are made using Xcode, which is a tool developed and launched by Apple to enable programmers to develop, examine and then advertise their software applications for both iPhone and iPad.

    Android Application Development
Android Application development is a means of developing new application for the Android operating system. Mostly these applications are developed in the Java programming language using the Android Software Development Kit, but other development tools are available. The Android area has also grown to become a preferred and admired development application among mobile developers.
